Resumo
The growing technological advance in metal mechanics industry means that companies prioritize the quality of their products in different manufacturing processes and turning, due to its versatility, has been emphasizing among the different applications and types of steel. The UNS S32750 super duplex stainless steel is applied in marine and petrochemical companies due to its mechanical properties and corrosion, but of difficult machinability. This work aims to study the influence of cutting parameters on Ra roughness using DOE (Design of Experiments) and analysis of variance (ANOVA) and material removal rate (MRR) that will be calculated analytically in the turning process employing coated carbide cutting tools by the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and non-fluid, the following input variables being select: cut speed (vc), cut depth (ap)and feed rate (f). The results showed that the feed is the factor that most influenced the roughness of the surface, with a lower observed value of 0.30 ?m
